Mutuels / Sportsbook Cashier – WarHorse Gaming
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Mutuels/Sportsbook Cashier is responsible for accurately processing wagers, issuing tickets, and handling payments while delivering a high-energy, guest-focused experience. This role is essential in creating an exciting, fast-paced environment during live racing and sportsbook operations.
PAY & SCHEDULE:
- $18.50/hour plus tips
- Flexible scheduling based on business needs
- Must be available for nights, weekends, holidays, and all live racing events
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming Omaha, LLC
- Accurately writes, verifies, and processes payouts for sports and horse racing wagers
- Follows all procedures related to ticket sales and payouts in compliance with gaming regulations
- Explains wagering rules, betting lines, and odds to guests in a clear and engaging manner
- Maintains and balances an assigned cash bank throughout the shift
- Ensures accuracy in all cash, card, and ticket transactions
- Provides exceptional guest service while addressing questions, concerns, or issues
- Maintains knowledge of current sports, racing events, and property offerings
- Keeps work area clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Adheres to all company safety standards and operational procedures
- Stays informed on industry trends and department updates
- Participates in meetings and training sessions as required
- Maintains a professional appearance at all times
- Performs additional duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous sportsbook, mutuels, teller, or gaming experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of guest service and cash handling experience preferred
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar systems)

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSING:
