Position Summary

The Beverage Shift Supervisor is responsible for supporting beverage operations during assigned shifts while leading team members in delivering exceptional guest service. This role assists with staffing, inventory management, compliance, and daily beverage operations in a fast-paced gaming and hospitality environment. The Beverage Shift Supervisor promotes operational excellence through hands-on leadership, team development, and adherence to company standards and gaming regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily beverage operations and supervise team members during assigned shifts
  • Provide tools, training, communication, and operational support to ensure exceptional guest service
  • Assist with scheduling team members to maintain proper coverage for daily operations and special events
  • Monitor beverage inventory levels, supplies, and par levels to meet operational demands
  • Participate in weekly inventory processes and assist with beverage ordering activities
  • Ensure all beverage transactions, payments, and comp authorizations are properly processed and documented
  • Support proper balancing of cash registers and report discrepancies in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensure prompt, friendly, and efficient beverage service standards are consistently maintained
  • Maintain compliance with S.M.A.R.T. or TIPS Alcohol Awareness standards
  • Authorize approved comp transactions within established guidelines
  • Assist in developing beverage specials, promotions, and service enhancements
  • Stay informed on industry beverage trends and service best practices
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions and ensure team compliance with certifications and training requirements
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Promote positive guest experiences and professional team member relations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Associate degree or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of food and beverage management experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience in a high-volume beverage or gaming environment
  • Experience supporting banquet, entertainment, bar, or restaurant operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Strong point-of-sale (POS) operational and programming experience
  • Knowledge of health, hospitality, and food service regulations
  • Experience with operational budgeting, inventory controls, and financial accountability
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in gaming or casino beverage operations
  • ServSafe certification
  • TIPS Alcohol Awareness certification

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout beverage and gaming areas
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Exposure to loud noise, secondhand smoke, and hospitality environment conditions
  • Requires manual dexterity, coordination, balance, and prolonged physical activity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive decision-making responsibilities
  • Frequent verbal communication with guests, team members, and leadership
  • Ability to operate POS systems, beverage equipment, and general office tools

Schedule

This is a part-time Swing Shift position. Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be available to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs.
