Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor

Position Summary
WarHorse Gaming is seeking an experienced Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor to lead our housekeeping operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the property. This position is responsible for supervising EVS team members, coordinating daily cleaning operations, maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming.
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of Environmental Services team members.
- Assign daily work responsibilities and inspect completed work for quality and compliance.
- Conduct routine inspections of public areas, offices, hallways, stairwells, restrooms, and VIP areas to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings and communicate operational priorities.
- Ensure cleaning equipment, carts, and supplies are properly maintained, stocked, and safely used.
- Coordinate preventative cleaning schedules and special projects.
- Work closely with the Facilities Department to submit and monitor work orders through completion.
- Respond promptly to guest and team member concerns regarding cleanliness or maintenance.
- Train, coach, and mentor EVS team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Monitor inventory and proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Complete inspections, reports, and required departmental documentation accurately.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and performance evaluations of team members.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, company safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in a high-volume hospitality, hotel, casino, or similar environment preferred.
- Previous casino or resort experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable software.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning products, equipment, and proper chemical usage.
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10 Certification.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License.

Work Schedule
This position requires flexibility to work swing shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Work around cleaning chemicals, dust, noise, temperature changes, secondhand smoke, and other environmental conditions common in a casino setting.
- Maintain concentration while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Possess visual, hearing, and sensory abilities necessary to safely perform assigned duties.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Nebraska Gaming License (or ability to obtain)
- OSHA 10 Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Valid Driver's License preferred
