Summary


SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Cage Manager is responsible for providing strategic and day to day leadership to the cage, credit, and count team operations. The Cage Manager will develop, execute, and maintain systems and procedures to maintain accountability of company assets, including cage funds, ensures compliance with company policies, casino regulatory rules and regulations and casino internal and accounting controls.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES: Essential duties and tasks that must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of WarHorse Gaming Omaha, LLC
• Develops and implements policies and procedures to safeguard assets.
• Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching and counseling and other personnel related matters are being handled appropriately throughout assigned departments.
• Facilitates and ensures that performance reviews of all employees within department are complete.
• Develops policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure efficiency and proper controls for gaming regulations and operational accounting practices.
• Handles guest service and employee related matters with composure and professionalism.
• Develops and implements all Currency Transaction training, auditing, and reporting procedures.
• Approves credit for guests within his/her limits of authority, ensures that the collection and distribution of necessary credit information is handled accurately, efficiently, and discreetly.
• Reviews relevant gaming regulations daily to ensure that the cage is in compliance with all gaming regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Maintains contact with Security Manager and the bank to locate variances and ensures proper handling of monies.
• Coordinates the audits of bank boards, guest deposits and rotation logs, ensuring appropriate coverage on each bank, develops and fine-tunes an effective system of checks and balances.
• Provides input and direction in the development and monitoring of fiscal budgets, division operations and strategies to produce both short- and long-term profitability.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:Education, experience, skills required, equipment used.

A satisfactory combination of applicable experience and education may be considered in lieu of experience requirements.

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High school diploma. GED, or relevant experience.
• Seven (7) years of casino operational finance, with progressive supervisory/managerial responsibilities required.
• Thorough understanding of casino operations, cage, and count team operations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information and perceptiveness to sensitive matters.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of energy and output.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel is not required for this position.


WORK HOURS: Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team members must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Is this position responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages or do they have comp authority? Yes

Gaming License Required? Ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License.
