SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Casino Cashier is responsible for safeguarding company assets, balancing of various bank drawers within the Cage area of the Finance Department, providing players club services and maintaining accuracy throughout all phases of the balancing process. Pay starts at $17/Hr.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES: Essential duties and tasks that must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Safeguard assets.
• Accurately balances assigned bank.
• Cashes chips and gaming tokens into money for guests, in a courteous, timely manner.
• Cashes personal checks and travelers checks for currency.
• Redeems foreign currency, computing accurate exchange rates for the various currency received.
• Follows proper procedures pertaining to sale and payout of tickets.
• Cash-in/Cash-Out gaming chips.
• Redeems Slot Machine payout tickets / TITO / vouchers for cash / cash equivalent.
• Performs guest account transactions, including issuing new and replacement player club cards, resolving guest player’s club issues, and providing player club rewards information.
• Cheques cashing, cheque / redemptions and consolidations.
• Performs credit card and EFTPOS cash advances.
• Performs Rolling Chip Exchanges.
• At completion of the shift, balances float and bring it back to the impress amount.
• Prepares Table Fills / receives Table Credits.
• Handles chip transfers between front windows, Chip banks and Main Banks.
• Balances the inventory of Chip Bank to the casino computer system, account for all chip movements in and out of the Chip Bank.
• Maintains accurate and legible balance sheets.
• Performs all vault functions – manages and maintains custody of coin, currency, checks and records of cage transactions on shift.
• Assists Cage Supervisor in maintaining accurate records on shift.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of internal activities.
• Assists other Cashiers as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Education, experience, skills required, equipment used.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• High school diploma. GED, or relevant experience.
• Previous gaming or banking experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel is not required for this position.
WORK HOURS: Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team members must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
