WarHorse Gaming is a gaming and entertainment division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., developed in partnership with the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA). The company is responsible for managing the expansion of casino gaming at Nebraska’s historic horse racing venues, with properties in Lincoln, Omaha, and South Sioux City. The Marketing Specialist supports the creation, organization, and execution of casino promotions, events, and campaigns designed to enhance guest engagement and brand visibility. This role manages projects from concept through completion, ensuring on-time delivery, operational excellence, and alignment with the WarHorse Gaming brand. The Marketing Specialist also represents the company at on- and off-site events, assisting with logistics, communications, and guest experience.
Plan, coordinate, and execute casino promotions, events, prize drawings, and VIP experiences.
Represent the casino at off-property events and promotions; travel may be required both in and out of market areas.
Manage marketing projects to ensure timely execution and accurate communication of event details.
Process promotional cash transactions, including buy-ins, re-buys, and reel rewards, in accordance with policy.
Prepare contest rules, waivers, and release forms for digital, social media, and on-site campaigns.
Set up and operate promotional equipment, banners, and signage; assist with event setup and teardown.
Maintain inventory of prizes, promotional materials, and event equipment.
Distribute event information to internal departments and ensure operational readiness.
Attend meetings, pre-shifts, and trainings to stay informed of marketing activities and business needs.
Ensure compliance with marketing and promotional schedules, timelines, and internal controls.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required:
Must be 21 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED
Knowledge of casino marketing programs and promotional processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and casino-related software systems (e.g., CMS, LMS, EMS)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, communication, and guest service skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred:
Two (2) years of experience in casino marketing or related field
Exposure to loud noise, temperature changes, secondhand smoke, and varying light levels
Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and movement of materials up to 50 lbs.
Involves mobility across the property and at event venues
May include extended or irregular hours to meet operational needs
